1921 Morgan Silver Dollar Cut Coin Necklace

Sale price1,500.00

Lady Liberty, revealed in silver.

This necklace begins with an authentic 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar, carefully hand-sawed to free Liberty’s profile from the coin’s background. Every stroke of the jeweler’s saw preserves her youthful face, crowned with wheat and cotton — a tribute to the nation’s agricultural strength. Once cut, the coin is polished, mounted with a sterling silver bale and jump ring, and paired with a sterling ball chain.

The result is a wearable piece of American heritage — a symbol of freedom and resilience, carved from one of the most beloved coins in U.S. history.

The last of the frontier coins.

First minted in 1878, the Morgan Silver Dollar was produced until 1904 and then briefly again in 1921, making this issue the last of its kind before the Peace Dollar replaced it. Struck in .900 fine silver, Morgans circulated widely across the West, fueling the growth of a nation on the move.

Designed by U.S. Mint engraver George T. Morgan, the obverse depicts Lady Liberty wearing a cap adorned with wheat and cotton, symbols of America’s agricultural might. The reverse eagle, wings outstretched, symbolized both power and peace.

The 1921 Morgan holds special significance as both a revival and farewell to one of America’s most iconic silver coins.

Hand-sawed with precision, shaped by history.

Each 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar is pierced and hand-sawed to reveal Lady Liberty’s face in bold relief. The background is removed stroke by stroke, leaving her profile framed in silver. Once cut, the coin is polished, fitted with a sterling silver bale and jump ring, and finished with a sterling ball chain.

No machines, no shortcuts — each pendant carries the unique character of both the coin and the hand that cut it.
