If I could distill the meaning of a genuine gold coin ring into one sentence, it would be this:

"The moment you slip it on, it completes something in you, adding something you never realized was missing — until it's on your hand."

I don't fully understand why that's true. But I've made enough of these now and spoken with their owners to know it is.

Something about the weight, the age, the fact that it was real before it was yours — it closes a gap you didn't know you were carrying around.
