JFK/Walking Liberty Silver Half Dollar Money Clip

A substantial money clip hand-forged from five genuine American silver half dollars — combining the historic Walking Liberty design of the 1930s–40s with the final 90% silver Kennedy half dollars struck in 1964.

Not every object needs to become disposable.

This money clip begins as five genuine American silver half dollars — a combination of Walking Liberty coins from the 1930s and 1940s alongside Kennedy half dollars struck in 1964, the final year U.S. half dollars were produced in 90% silver.

The result is a broader clip than our Morgan version, with a distinctly substantial feel in hand and pocket.

The Walking Liberty design remains one of the most admired coin designs in American history, while the Kennedy half dollar carries its own place in the national memory as the first coin issued after President Kennedy’s assassination. Together, the two designs create a piece tied to multiple generations of American coinage and history.

Each clip is individually hand-formed, shaped, and finished in our American workshop. No castings. No replicas. No plated base metals. Only genuine, vintage silver coins hand chosen for their strike and detail.

Designed for daily carry and built to age well over time.

Walking Liberty Half Dollar

Minted from 1916–1947, the Walking Liberty Half Dollar was designed by Adolph A. Weinman and is widely considered one of the most beautiful silver coin designs ever produced by the United States Mint.

The obverse depicts Liberty striding toward the rising sun draped in the American flag, symbolizing forward movement, optimism, and national strength.

The design later became the basis for the modern American Silver Eagle bullion coin.

Kennedy Half Dollar (1964)

The Kennedy Half Dollar was introduced in 1964 shortly after President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.

The 1964 issue remains the only circulating Kennedy half dollar struck in 90% silver, linking it directly to the earlier era of American silver coinage before silver was removed from most U.S. currency.

Together, these coins represent both continuity and transition within American monetary history.

Forged for tension. Refined for longevity.

Each money clip begins with genuine sovereign U.S. coinage individually selected for the commission.

The coins are shaped under pressure, formed by hand, and carefully aligned into a unified clip structure while preserving the original details and character of the silver itself.

Because every coin carries slight differences from circulation and age, no two finished clips are perfectly identical. That variation is part of the work.

The goal is not factory uniformity.

It is to create an object substantial enough to remain in daily use for years while still preserving the history embedded in the original coinage.
