"Momento Mori" is a Latin term, describing a symbol or trinket that reminds us that death comes for us all, there is no escape. And as such, we should make the most of the time we have.
It is another way of saying Carpe Diem, or "Seize the Day", but with a time component.
Traditionally, a human skull was kept as a Momento Mori. And an hourglass.
But those aren't really practical in today's society.
However, those are the images used on this .999 fine silver 1 ounce coin struck by Anonymous Mint.
This ring keeps the reminder close at hand - make good use of your time here, because death is coming and the clock is ticking!
Available in sizes 9.5 to 16, including all half sizes.
You have your choice of a rich patina finish or a bring polished finish.
I recommend the patina finish for this ring - the lettering and detail are much more visible against a dark background. The patina will wear and fade over time, but I think about it like a new pair of leather boots or jeans - they take on their own personality over time.
As with all Silver State Foundry products, if your ring should ever need servicing in any way, just send it back and I'll return it to you in a few days just like new. For free. For life.
Shipping in the USA is by USPS First Class Mail - small package 6"x3"x6".
I am an army veteran and I make all pieces right here in my rolling studio. Originally located in Reno, Nevada, I've since rebuilt my studio in a Sprinter van, allowing me to travel these great United States of ours and make fine jewelry at the same time.
