How It Works

Turn your coin to your ring.

From the initial photo inquiry to the ring on your hand, most commissions take about two weeks if you follow these steps. Here's exactly how it works.

01

Send us photos

Email clear photos of both sides of your coin, plus your approximate ring size. This is the required first step — before you order anything. Use this form to email your coin pictures.

02

We confirm it

We check the metal, condition, and whether your requested size works for this specific coin. You'll hear back either way. If it's not a fit, we'll tell you honestly and offer alternatives where they exist.

03

Place your order

Once confirmed, place your order on the site — $395 for silver or $575 for gold.

04

We send mailing instructions

After your order is placed, we'll email you exactly how to safely mail your coin to the Foundry.

NOTE: Please DO NOT send your coin until it is confirmed and your order has been placed.

05

Ship us your coin

Pack it as instructed and send it our way.

06

We forge it

Hand-forging takes 2–3 business days once your coin arrives at the Foundry.

07

It ships to you

Silver ships Priority via USPS; gold ships Next Day via UPS or FedEx. Every piece arrives in full standard packaging.

Before You Send Photos

What coins qualify.

We only work with real silver and gold — here's the short version. For exact eligibility, send us photos and we'll confirm plainly, either way.

Accepted

Silver Coins

Most U.S. silver coins struck before 1965 work well — that's when the Mint moved away from silver for everyday coinage. Since then, a handful of coins are still struck in real silver and work just as well: American Silver Eagles, 90% silver proof Kennedy half dollars, and other pure-silver U.S. Mint releases.

Accepted

Gold Coins

We work with 22k gold coins — 91.67% gold, the same standard used in the American Gold Eagle. Pure 24k gold, like the American Gold Buffalo, is too soft to hold up as a ring and unfortunately isn't eligible.

Not Accepted

Clad, Brass & Challenge Coins

Clad, cupronickel, and brass coins — including most circulated coins from 1965 to present and all military and challenge coins — won't work. These metals can irritate and discolor the skin, and damage our tooling.

Which Metal Is Your Coin?

Bring Your Own Coin — Silver or Gold.

Fit & Sizing Confidence

Get the size right before you commit.

Sizing is the one thing that stops people, and it shouldn't. So we removed it as a risk entirely.

What if I choose the wrong size or my finger changes over time?

Lifetime resizing is included. Send it back and we'll re-fit it, free, for as long as you own it.

How do I measure without a jeweler?

A free ring sizer ships to you before we forge anything — it's the most accurate way to measure at home. Learn three easy ways to find your size.

Can the coin ring be worn daily?

Yes — every piece is built for daily wear, not display.

How long does a commission take?

Once we have your coin in hand, it usually 2–3 business days, and then it is on its way back to you.

Stewardship & Final Sale

Final sale, backed by lifetime care.

Because this ring is forged to order from your personally owned coin and cannot be reversed, each piece is final sale. To protect your purchase, every commission includes:

Free ring sizer before you commit to a size
Lifetime resizing & refinishing, at no cost
Fully insured, signature-required delivery
