Azure Blue opal and cremation ash set into a Morgan Silver Dollar Coin Ring
Cremation Ash Coin Ring Prix de vente1,100.00

Living color, anchored by memory.

This ring begins as a genuine 19th-century Morgan Silver Dollar, minted between 1878 and 1904 in Bright Uncirculated (BU) or About Uncirculated (AU) condition. The coin is first forged into a solid silver ring, then refined on a lathe to prepare the exterior surface for inlay—while the interior of the ring remains untouched, preserving the original coin detail, including the mint year from the 1880s or 1890s.

The inlay combines cultured opal with a dark composite made from crushed obsidian blended with cremation ash. The ash may be from a human or an animal—many clients choose this piece to honor a spouse, parent, or a deeply loved dog or cat.

As the ring moves, the opal shimmers and shifts, revealing different colors from different angles. Blues ignite, reds surface, greens emerge—alive to light and motion. Beneath that movement, the obsidian-and-ash background provides depth and contrast, holding memory quietly in place.

Available opal color options:

  • Azure
  • Blue
  • Fire Blue
  • Black Emerald
  • Crimson
  • Dragon Scale

The inlay is permanently set using jeweler’s-grade resin, then polished flush with the silver to a bright, seamless finish. The surface is smooth, durable, and secure—engineered for daily wear, not fragile handling.

Finish: Offered exclusively in Polished. No patina is applied, ensuring clarity, respect, and permanence.

This ring does more than remember.

It moves with you—carrying presence forward.

The Morgan Silver Dollar

  • Years Used: 1878–1904
  • Typical Years Visible Inside Ring: 1880s–1890s
  • Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper
  • Condition: Bright Uncirculated (BU) or About Uncirculated (AU) only

Struck during America’s industrial rise, the Morgan Silver Dollar represents strength, permanence, and continuity. In this ring, the coin serves as a century-old foundation—holding memory within something that has already endured.

The year visible inside the ring remains exactly as struck, preserved as a factual marker of origin.

Forged first. Inlaid with care.

This ring follows the same precision process as our Opal Inlay Ring, with additional care given to handling memorial materials:

  • The coin is forged into a solid silver ring
  • The exterior is turned on a lathe for uniformity
  • A channel is precisely cut for the inlay
  • Cultured opal is selected and placed by hand
  • Crushed obsidian is blended with cremation ash
  • Jeweler’s-grade resin permanently secures the inlay
  • The ring is polished to a bright, seamless finish

The inlay sits flush with the silver—protected, stable, and engineered to endure daily wear without shifting or degradation.

This process does not rush.

It proceeds deliberately, with respect for both material and meaning.

Handled carefully—every step of the way.

Upon ordering, we mail a Cremation Inlay Kit, which includes:

  • A ring sizer
  • A small vial for cremation ash
  • A self-addressed, stamped return envelope (SASE)

We require approximately one teaspoon of ash.

Once the ring is completed, any unused ash is returned to you in the vial, along with the finished ring.
