The Design That Outlived the Coin

A design that survived the melt — even when the coin didn't.

In 1907, sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens created what's often called the most beautiful coin the U.S. Mint ever struck — a full-length Liberty, torch raised, walking toward the sun. By 1933, the coin carrying his design was recalled by the thousands and melted down. The artwork should have disappeared with it.

It didn't. In 1986, the U.S. Mint brought Saint-Gaudens' Liberty back — this time on the American Gold Eagle, the nation's official gold bullion coin. Each one is struck in 22k gold, its weight and purity guaranteed by the United States government. This ring begins with one of those coins: real gold, a design that outlived its own recall, reshaped by hand into something you wear instead of store.

Fit & Sizing Confidence

Get the size right before you commit.

Sizing is the one thing that stops people at this price. So we removed it as a risk entirely.

What if I choose the wrong size or I gain/lose weight?

Lifetime resizing is included. Send it back and we'll resize it, free, for as long as you own it.

How do I measure without a jeweler?

If you aren't sure of your size, select Request Ring Sizer instead of specifying your size. We'll mail you a sizer for free and wait for you to email us with it before we forge anything — it's the most accurate way to measure at home. Learn more about your three sizing options.

Can the coin ring be worn daily?

Yes — every piece is built for daily wear, not display. That said, like any fine jewelry, we recommend removing it before activities with heavy impact on your hands - yard work with tools, going to the gym, etc.

How long does a commission take?

Usually 2–3 business days, longer if a specific coin year is requested.

Stewardship & Final Sale

Because this ring is forged to order from a genuine gold coin, each piece is final sale. To protect your purchase, every commission includes:
